Terms & Conditions
Our promise to you
· We aim to stimulate and enhance your child’s aqua skills in a Safe & Friendly environment.
Enrolment and Payment
· Full payment is required in advance with the completed enrolment form. Places will not be confirmed until payment is received.
· At re-enrolment current swimmers will be given priority to hand in their forms and payment at the end of the current term.
· Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If classes are full you have the option to be placed on a Waiting List and you will be contacted as soon as we have a vacancy.
· All Parents/Guardians must sign on the enrolment form that they agree and adhere to these Terms & Conditions.
Cancellation Policy
· Cancellations received up to 14 days prior to the start of a term’s lessons will be subject to a cancellation charge of 25% of the total cost of the course.
· Cancellations received up to the start of a term’s lessons will be subject to a cancellation charge of 50% of the total cost of the course.
· No refunds can be given for cancellations once a course has started unless the space can be filled.
· We shall only consider refunds on medical grounds if put in writing to us together with supporting medical evidence. i.e. long term condition that physically prevents attendance e.g. grommits, Breaks, operations. You will be given the option to reserve your space by continuing to pay half the course fee or you can be placed on a Waiting List.
· If we have to cancel lessons for reasons beyond our control, i.e. plant failure, the lesson fee will be credited or refunded.
Conduct , Safety & Hygiene
Swimmers:
· Please attend promptly for lesson.
· Do not enter the pool unless told to do so by your instructor.
(This also applies to those swimmers arriving late.)
· Do not eat a large meal at least 1.5 hours before your lesson, light snack only.
· Please shower and use the toilets before coming to poolside.
Swimmers (cont)
· Swimming Hats are compulsory at our Keston Primary venue and recommended at all other venues.
· Recommended swimwear, trunks for boys and 1 piece costumes for girls.
· If you use an inhaler you may hand it to your instructor on poolside.
· Food and Drink are not to be consumed on poolside, spectator areas or changing rooms. Swimmers can bring water onto poolside in a small plastic container only. No glass or ceramic containers will be allowed.
Safety & Code of Conduct
· In the event of an emergency an AquaSkills Instructor/Staff Member will blow a single long blast on a whistle and take control.
· In an emergency each venue’s Emergency Action Plan will be implemented.
· If it is necessary to vacate the pool, STAND on poolside quietly and await further instruction from an AquaSkills Instructor/Staff Member.
Parents
· In the terms of our agreements at our school venues, (The grounds and surrounding areas are STRICTLY OUT OF BOUNDS.
· For the safety of themselves and others, siblings under 16 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times during lessons.
· CHANGING ROOM PROTOCOL - Could parents please note that children over 8 years are not allowed to use the changing rooms of the opposite sex. Parents with children under 8 years must use the changing rooms according to their own gender.
· Photography is not allowed during our swimming lessons.
· Your child should not attend lessons until at least 2 weeks after the cessation of a bout of diarrhoea.
- AquaSkills Swim School cannot be held responsible for any loss of valuables or damage to property left unattended in changing areas.
Staff
· AquaSkills instructors are all qualified and hold the relevant ASA/STA certificates.
· Some physical contact is sometimes unavoidable during instruction but all our instructors have CRB enhanced clearance and adhere to the ASA Child Protection Procedures.
· If an instructor is absent due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, AquaSkills will endeavour to provide a cover teacher.
